    I am thinking about gettiing a new computer.
    I was wondering if the iMac G4 and/or the eMac G4 had Altivec.

    AltiVec is a set of special, optimized instructions that are included in every G4 chip. Any Mac that has a G4 has AltiVec. G3's do not.
