chapters with ulead dvd workshop

I have dvd workshop 1.2 installed. Tried a trialversion and a registered version but when i want to edit a movie, it is not possible to add chapters. The icon is grey. Right clicking is also greyed out.
How can i solve this?

I am using a wintv pvr 250 tvcard, with a amd 1000ghz and 512 mb memory.

I have read a lot of topics and my question is already posted in this forum. However there isn't a answer to it.

I think the chapter icon stays grey until the clip starts playing in the window. In the edit mode double click on the clip at the bottom of the screen. Then on the play window click on the play botton to see if the clip starts playing. Then the icon should no longer be grey.

unforunally, this doesn't work. The button stayed grey. Does. There are more people who have the same problem, maybe they also youse wintv pvr?

I think the problem is solved!

The output from the wintv pvr file is a dvd format sp. When i convert this format to vcd, then i can select chapters.

The problem is solved but it is strange?
