I'm trying to fit 2 movies onto 1 DVD-R using 1/2 DVD resolution (CVD - 352 x 576) which I understand is a 'legal' resolution for DVD - and obviously half the bitrate so I can fit them both on. - I appreciate I could half the bitrate and do it that way but this way should work !
CCE etc lets me choose this resolution (via DVD2SVCD CVD setting) and encodes etc - BUT the resolution 'tag' of the resulting M2V file is still 720x576 but the 'picture' is 352 x 576. Hence when playing the M2V file it does not rescale the picture to fit the screen as it thinks it's a 720x576 M2V.
Is there anyway to get DVD2SVCD to create a legal 352x576 1/2 DVD resolution movie ? Tried forcing this resolution using IFOEdit but it looks as if the M2V file takes preference over the IFO file.
Had had no issues at all with full res DVD-?DVDR conversions so I think my method is OK.
Any ideas ?
Cheers,
TeeeRex
