hi is it possible to make a vcd2.0 from a cdr copy eg the same as an original. to play in a standalone dvd. i normally use tempgenc and vcd gear 2.0 and was wondering what the diffrence is between cdr and vcd 2.0

VCD2.0 is the format. CD-R is the media type.
Presumable, your CD-R copy is a VCD (thus it will be either VCD1.1 or VCD2.0 -- most likely VCD2.0).
If all you are interested in is copying a disc, VCDGear shouldn't come into the picture. All you need is a disc copying proggy (e.g., one comes with Nero, Easy CD Creator, CDR-Win, CloneCD, etc.)
