  2. Hacks for pioneer players are generally pretty rare. In most cases if you want to make a pioneer region free you have to chip it.

  3. As far as I know, its not possible to make a Pioneer player region free by using the remote to enter a 'hack'.

    HOWEVER

If you check out my post titled:

All PIONEER Owners, want REGION FREE - w/no hardware mods?!?

You should be able to play DVDs from any other region.

PLEASE, PLEASE! Vote on the poll connected to my post, even if this doesn't work - no-one yet has even replied but as far as I can see, there are no other multiple-machine pioneer hacks apart from mine! Where's all my thanks?!? Just kidding!

  4. Yor post about the hack was entered after I replied to this thread, or I would have passed the information on. I have a Pioneer 636, unfortunately (or fortunately really) it is chipped to be region and macrovision free so I cant try your method.

  5. IMPORTANT UPDATE!

THE METHOD POSTED A FEW DAYS AGO CONTAINED AN ERROR - I FORGOT TO MENTION ONE MAJOR POINT WHEN WRITING. IF ANYONE HAS ATTEMPTED TO USE THIS METHOD WITHOUT SUCCESS, PLEASE TRY THE DIRECTIONS ON THE REVISED POST WHICH ARE THE CORRECT ONES.
