  1. When I try to burn DVDs to DVD-r, all the discs done are very jerky. How do I stop this? I am using Smartripper and DVD2AVI, and TMPENG and ULead. Are there any better pieces of software to use.

    I think it depends on the settings you use in TMPG, as they should match the specs of your DVD rips. For example, if your DVD movie is NTSC Film @ 23,97 frames per second and 16:9 display, then you should encode using these parameters.

    DVD2AVI has a preview function that will give you this information about your DVD rips.
