Helping a friend with his new firewire video camera and XP
When he plugs camera into computer Movie maker launches
and he can tranfer to computer
What he cant do is transfer from computer to camera
Camera is pluged in and on record and a movie file is playing in media player maybe there are some other steps involved
like output to firewire
Its a Canon camera with one of those mini cartridges

You have to export the DV avi file back to the camcorder with the export function in Windows Movie Maker or a program called DVIO (see Tools section). On a SONY, you must also disable the DV out on the camcorder's menu. I am not sure if it's the same for a Canon.
