i have just got harry potter2 on vcd. i try putting it in my pc playing it on power dvd but it didnt play. i looked at the files and i says that it is a dat. file it is called AVSEQO1.
can some 1 please help me andbtell me how i can play this on my pc plz plz

Hi i have got the same prob the dat file avseq normally plays under media player but this is the one disk to bug them all i tried to download various dat players and other patches but i can only get this disk to work in my standard DVD player but only because it supports VCD SVCD CDRW playback bit of a challange this one. It will play on a DVD with that media support but as yet not on my comp. Perhaps if you do find a solution you could post it for everyone. Cheers. Orgasmo

Try to extract the MPG only from the .dat file with Isobuster or VCDEasy.

i had the same problem with die annother day but after i made it a mpg i had no problems

I also had the same problem....was recommended to download the " Nimo codec pack " (you can find this under "tools-codecs" ). Well this worked 4 me

Sister in law had the same problem using powerDVD gave her a copy of winDVD no problems now in software player or media player.
