Superman or Batman, basically anything that means you get to wear your underpants on the outside

that will get the ladies wanting to check out your package and powers

it depends if you want to impress the ladies or your mates

I'd play it safe and go for Superman as you may just find your Louis Lane but it may also depend on the quality of the actual outfit so do you have a place in mind as maybe it's better you go there and ask to see what they've got for rent

I'd pick the Batman Begin's outfit out of this bunch below as Superman is OK but I don't think the pants would do it for the ladies . The other 2 are pretty plain. Your local place might have better quality stuff but it's better you see what they have on offer before deciding

    just for Yoda

I went as Commodore Jack Aubrey at a Halloween party last year which was a huge hit with the women. The "costume" was uber-expensive though, and I could really only take 2-3 of those women home with me afterwards so the jury is still out on if it was worth the cost

As to the suggestions above that just seems silly for a masquerade-type event. Maybe dress up really nice in a tux with a bowtie as James Bond if you look the part otherwise, or even a nice suit and say you're Bruce Wayne. Mild-mannered Clark Kent doesn't really get any play anymore unless you're ripped underneath the suit and glasses. I've gone to parties as the Opera Ghost, aka the Phantom of the Opera, complete with cool sabre (I used it again with my Royal Navy ensemble) which was also a hit with the ladies. Went as Carl from Aqua Teen Hunger Force one year too but not everyone could spot the character so it was lost on most of them.

Bo Selecta is hilarious , "you m****e teasing b***h"

not that it's a super hero but a couple of lads did Lou & Andy from Little Britain and they were hilarious throughout the night
