Hello,
I was wondering if you guys could help me out with this problem.
I have a divx file and a subtitle file (.srt format). I want to convert the DIVX with the subtitle to SVCD. I frameserve using VirtualDub and convert to SVCD using tmpgenc. The DIVX is letterboxed, and I choose Full Screen and keep aspect ratio.
My problem is that the subtitles appear "in" the movie, or the subtitles appear as part of the picture. I want the subtitles to appear under the picture where the letterboxed black space is.....Is there a way to do that?
Thanks in advance.

There was another thread on this recently, take a look at http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=123680&highlight=. The short answer is that you need to resize and letterbox the movie yourself before you add the subtitles.
