    How would I go about converting a .asf file to .mpg? I know how to convert .avi to .mpg, is it the same thing? Please let me know.

    A great little tool called ASF Tools

    convert your asf to an avi file and then convert it to mpg there as you usualy would encode an avi --> mpg

    converting the asf file to avi takes a matter of minutes
