Hey guys, is it at all possible to add your own original subtitles to an SVCD, and make them removeable? the tutorial at http://www.vcdhelp.com/subsvirtual.htm shows how to add subs, but it doesn't say if they are removeable by pressing the subtitle button on your remote... It seems to me they aren't. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Yes, it is possible to make selectable subtitles on a MPEG2 stream (up too 4 tracks) HOWEVER, this page shows how to make permanant subtitles. The only program that I know of to make selectable subtitles is/was I-Author.
However, the creaters of I-Author no longer have a downloadable demo out and may have shut everything down. -
well that sucks. Too bad that was the only way to do it. Oh well, I'm sure something will come along someday. Thanks for the help.
