  1. Hi

    I have a pioneer dvd-116 dvd reader and a dvd+r/+rw writer ricoh.

    But when i burn a dvd with nero, i can read it with my ricoh but not with the pioneer..

    Is there because of my dvd+rw used ? (a ricoh too) can i do something for the compatibility ?

  2. I have a Pioneer DVD-116 and it reads +R and +RW. There is some issues with certain version of Nero (or certain settings) which have been discussed on this website (I forget what they are):

    What is you version of nero that works with the dvd-116 ?

    I have nero OEM 5.5.9.8 and it doesn't work

    I have a Pioneer DVD-116 (not DVD-116LJ). Some people have had problems with the DVD-116LJ. I use DVD complete to author and burn DVD (they have a trial version) and it works. I use Nero 5.5.9.0 (and Nero's DVD wizard).

    Man, update to the latest Nero 5.5.9.17 immediately!!!

    Since 5.5.9.14 were a few things fixed regarding to dvd burning!

    So far I know the Pioneer DVD-ROM drives and the Pioneer DVD-Player can read (most of all) DVD+R/W as well, but Pioneer dont spread the word, sure. THEY are only with DVD-R/W! Remember. 8)

    I upgraded the firmware (1.22 RC1) and now all works fine.

    I have updated my nero too.
