I ordered a 25-pack of Accu DVD-Rs from Meritline. I tried 8 discs with different recording programs and different type of data, and only one got past the lead-in track. There is a line a few millimeters in from the center ring. The discs burned right up to that ring and stopped. Has anyone else had a problem with these discs? It seems they have worked for most people.
Meritline was kind enough to send me a couple sample discs of other brands. I'm sending the Accus back and exchanging them for whatever brand ends up working.

I have been very happy with the Accu DVD-r disks. They have all worked flawlessly. I have been approx 40 disks with no problems other than ones I have created myself. They work with both my Panasonic DMR-E30 and Pioneer 104. I don't know why you are having problems with them. It may have nothing to do with the disks themselves. It might have something to do with the way you have authored the disk or with the program you are using to burn it with.

It doesn't seem to be a media problem. See my other post:

Accu SUCKS!
I've had nothing but problems with them. Believe me it's not you, it's the disks. I've started using TDK and Optidisc with great results.
The weird thing is that if you use this product and it works on the player you have at home, you might find different results on your friend's DVD players.
I thought they were fine until I purchased a 2nd dvd player, then the truth came out. The TDK and Optidisc plays fine on every player I tested them on so far.
