    I just purchased the above player and so far are very happy with it (only basic features, but that will do me)

    The only thing I'm struggling with is to find information on region unlocking for this model.

    Anybody able to help?

    kewl, ill answer my own question;
    emailed jvc and they replied that this player (in australia anyway) is region unlocked from the factory;

    BEAUTY!!!
