  1. Hi, I am a super-newbie and am trying different bitrates/methods of ripping using DVD2SVCD. I am not sure exactly what "templates" are, but reading some of the posts on here, I see a lot of people refer to using KVCD Templates under the "matrix" section of DVD2SVCD when encoding, as opposed to the default matrix. Apparently from what I have read, people say that KVCD Matrix is great, and I am just curious if I would be able to uncheck the default matrix box and use that KVCD option with TMPGenc? Or if not, would I need some type of additonal software in order to use the KVCD option? If anyone knows, please respond to this post.

You don't need any additional software, just make sure your DVD player can play the KVCD.. which you can check by going to http://www.kvcd.net/dvd-models.html

  3. thanks Johne E boy, I am a gambler, and took a chance by using the KVCD Templates. If it didn't work, then I would of lost about 11 hours of conversion, etc. But it did! Just burned Panic Room on two SVCD's, and it looks just like the original DVD! Very hard to believe how it can look and sound so great! Thanks for your reply, you are actually one of the people I read who gave those KVCD templates Rave reviews, and now I can see why! Thanks
