  1. Here is the announcement from Derrow's web page for a new program that he is selling for $15.

    NEW TOOL: DVDSplit v0.1
It is for just splitting DVDs to 2 DVD-Rs.
It is easy to use, and almost everything will be done automatic.
    It's a Wizard-style application.
This app should fix the problem with the 'Illegal Navigation error occured'.
And it is even faster then IfoEdits implementation, cause it doesn't need to correct VobUnit pointers .-)

Currently it's in beta-testing stage and not downloadable. Please be pationt for a few day's.

I think I agree with you on that possibility.

Ifoedit is a great tool and works fine for most DVD's. Is DVD split a better tool? Does it handle issues of multiple angles and seemless brancing better? The screen shots look like it is simple to use. I am trying to decide if I should spend the $25 for the two tools.

  7. I purchased DVDSplit for $15 on 9/11 to copy a movie that I was unable to copy using IfoEdit or dvdXcopy. The movie: Liberty Stands Still.

DVDSplit would not copy this movie either. I sent an e-mail to Derrow Sunday describing my problem. About 45 minutes later he requested the .IFO files. Within an hour he responded telling there is a problem with DVDSplit handling multiple ANGLES and would get back to me ASAP with a fix. Since then I see that his web site has been updated to reflect the problem.

I have not had the free time to test this product on any other movie. I am VERY IMPRESSED with the responses that I have had from Derrow. I understand that not all problems can be reviewed or fixed immediately. The way this issue was handled says a lot about Derrow and the products that he offers.

Later yesterday I received the DVDBurn program from Derrow. I see now that he is selling both programs for $25!

I believe in supporting the developers who offer quality products.

I agree 8) Derrow has provided some awesome tools for the DVD burning community. I will wait a week or so til the Multiple angle problem is fixed, then I will buy the package. Well worth it since I get ifoedit for free!

Derow has fixed the multiple ANGLE problem is his latest .5 release of DVDSplit.

I guess it's time to order!

  10. I believe that everythng that can be done with DVDSplit can also be done with IFOEdit. It is just that DVDSplit is "easier" to use.

    IFOEdit will remain free!
