  1. just downloaded nimo lite 1.19mb. ran self extract file nimolitepack10.exe, but this stopped at request for file MSVCR70.dll did search but this not on XP Pro standard installation, but got the file from dll-files.com. tried again, seems to load up ok, new nimo directory installed, but if I look at the codec list in control panel- sounds /audio hardware , video codecs no new codecs have been installed. What am I doing wrong? I have not yet installed a capture card as I am trying to view some old Avis (saved on cd)which will not view under win Xp
    thanks

  2. To see which codecs you have installed just open any AVI file in Virtual Dub and go to Video->Compression...

  3. Thanks for the info . The codecs as listed in VirtualDub (11 off) do not include any of those supposed to be installed with Nimolite. My question therefore is still the same, When I run the downloaded program why is it not installing the codecs?
    thanks

  4. When you installed your Nimo codecs did you tick all the files to be included in the installation (full setup)?

  5. Thanks for the response, I think your comments maybe to the root of the problem. The file Nimolitepack10.exe is a self extract at 1.19MB, once you get past the licence box, there are 3 Options, Basic, Full & custom, I have tried all 3. Then you appear to have choice of Nimolite10 or Nimo. I have always selected Nimolite, as I read somewhere that "Nimo"overwrites any other codecs. .There is no choice to select specific codecs that I have found but I would expect the full installation to install the lot. they may be there but certainly are not listed. Before when I have installed codecs they are always listed separately in the Windows hardware under Video and Audio codecs .I have downloded the exe file twice with the same results
    thanks
