I just want to dump commercial movie DVDs to my hard drive and then play them through my MPEG card to TV. I don't care if it takes up 8GB of space per movie. I've got 7500GB of space on my SAN. At least I won't have to put the disk in. Anyone know how to do that?

Make a root directory folder called VIDEO_TS (the capitals are necessary) and dump all the ripped there eg D:\VIDEO_TS. Point the dvd player to this drive and it should run
