this is my first post on vcdhelp.com!
I want to create slideshows on CD-R that will play in on a computer's CD drive (Mac or PC) and if possible also play in a DVD player.
I know there is software for creating the slideshow for PCs and newer software for creating slideshows for DVD. Does the DVD slideshow software create CDs that will play on Mac & PCs?
Are the jpeg images (300k each on average) stored on the CD as jpeg image files so they can be copied or are they in some .avi or .mov format and inaccessible?
thanks for the help.

you could try and use the "mpeg stills" option in VCDEasy. I've done something similiar to what you are describing.

Does VCDeasy (or any other software) create slideshows (w/music & transitions) that autoplay on PCs & Macs, as well as in DVD players?
And are the original jpegs included on the disc (for archive purposes)? -
Honestly, I don't know enough about it to make a determination like that. I used it to make a slideshow and some stills to put in front of my SVCD's and that worked out great. I can tell you that it won't delete any of your jpeg's......maybe just save the originals seperate from the converted ones?
