  1. HELP!
I have recorded a TV program (app. 25 mins) and I want to record it on a 80 mins CDR, so I can watch it on my DVD player (not in PC).
To me it seems that I can only do this by making a VCD, but this is another resolution (352x288) and when I want to watch it on my TV it's very ugly!
    Why can't I make a VCD with a 720/576 resolution??????

I've read on this site that there's something like X(S)VCD and maybe that would help me. Does anybody know what this is, how I convert my file to this format and how to burn it??

  2. Only thing, You can do to retain resolution, is to make miniDVD. It is (IIRC) to author like DVD, but burn on CD. Making search for it will give right instructions. Players, that support this format are quite rare tough, so first check from DVD Players compatibility list.

Your best shot for retaining resolution is a XSVCD, but that's going to look like crap too since the SVCD bitrate of 2600 video and 2748 combined will cause massive artifacting.

Your best bet is to use SVCD or CVD templates and live with the fact that it's not 720x576. You might realy be suprised at how good SVCD can look.
