I recently created an svcd using ffmpeg and missing mpeg tools. On screen it played perfect, but when I went to burn it only the sound would play. I figured this was because I used vcdgear to trick my dvd player into playing the file as a vcd (This trick works 98% of the time for me).
Since that did not work (and I can't seem to create vcds with ffmpeg) I took my m2v file that I created with ffmpeg and used mpeg2 decoder to create a large .mov file. I then put the sound in and exported it to toast vcd. Once again I had a file that was seemingly perfect. I burned it to disk and it would not play at all. Any ideas what may be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.![]()

Figured it out. It seems that my dvd player does not like deinterlaced video. Works perfectly now.
