I know a little about this "Chroma Bug", but I don't think it ever bothered me that much. Other than that, I've been pretty impressed with the PQ and scaling of the Toshiba DVD players.
From what I've read, the Toshiba 4800 has the Chroma Bug, while the Panasonic RP82 does not. Other than that, these players appear to be on fairly equal footing.
Can I please get some opinions on whether or not avoiding the Chroma Bug is more important than gaining the ability to scale anamorphic DVDs?
Maybe someone has a suggestion of a player in the same price range that overcomes BOTH of these issues?
Thanks,
Tim

Only thing I can add is Panasonic says the rp82 will play DVD-RAM, and I don't think the Toshiba will.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
