I wiped the HDD (on Purpose !) and reinstalled Windows ME, but now I can't set the video reslution above 640 x 480 x 16 colours !!!
It's a COMPAQ presario machine with on board braphice and sound, and idea where I can get a better driver or something.
I'me getting desperate !!

Try:
1. Installation discs that came with your PC.
2. Manuals that came with your PC may give hardware specs and models.
3. Search the net for you exact PC model -- you may find some old spec info on what is exactly in your PC and then search for drivers

Did you restore it or just install Windows ME? If you just installed ME then you'll need to goto the compaq website and download a video driver and install it... while your there you might want to grab any other drivers that are there also.

try compaq's site. your problem is definately a driver.

Or you can check in Recovery CD which came with your computer. There should be all drivers in it such as, video, audio, modem etc......
