I understand that this hardware is shipped without software for capturing.
What software would users of this product recommend.
I have been backing up DVD's for a while and have various programs but I am new to capturing. I mention this to say I am not total newbie and that I understand some of the issues.
thanks in advance

I use scenalyzer live (http://www.scenalyzer.com/) with my advc-100 and I love it. I use Premiere for editting, but the capture part of Premiere leaves a lot to be desired. I have never had a problem with scenalyzer live.

Assuming that you are using win2000 or XP, I would suggest DVio. There are many links in this forum, just do a quick search.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
