  1. i just bought a Sony DRU500A and i am trying to encode an avi to dvd . i can do the avi samples just fine with my dvd (sonic) with no encoding on my part but when i try to do the whole avi the burn light isnt lite up. through some research i found out it was showing file size to big.i learned this by loading a 2520 bitrate standard mpeg-2 encoded for svcd into the my dvd program it and it showed 2.2 gigs left after only an 800 mb file was loaded.so on to the question i encoded the avi with tmpgenc to dvd using the dvd template and ended up with a 2.2gig mpeg2 plays fine in power dvd but when i load it to my dvd it ask for an audio file and says that no audio was detected in the clip. if i cut a small piece of the mpeg it opens it fine and sound is there so any ideas on going from avi to dvd would greatly be aprecited thnks in advance
