    I have a video 8 tape which has been exposed to heat and speakers. The tape is somewhat distorted but it is of my sisters wedding. I have a msi g4ti4600 card and it has video capture facilities but the image is distorted on the tape. Can i clean it on my computer or is it gone forever!?!?!?

    capture it uncompressed or huffyuv at the best settings you can get ...

    you will need to apply a couple passes of noise filtering most likely ...

    maybe you can pan around the good parts parts of the image and crop what you can get ..

    its hard to say without seeing it ..
