  1. Ok i have a SVCD file which was apperantley encoded with a 48000 sample rate...besides my dvd player not handling this rate When i try to pull this into nero to burn it i receive a inproper sample rate of 48000 so i de-multiplexed the file and converted the sample to a 41000 wav which i then converted to mp2....now when i go to multiplex it all back togetheer i get an ivalid mpeg error in tmpgenc for the audio file....m i doing something wrong..TIA to anyone who can help

  3. that's what i thought....it's in that format but i still get an error...is there a procees i should follow besides what i've done to get 41 from 48 and should it be mp2

    and follow the TMPGE to remux/rewrite the header of your original 48kHz file as SVCD (a quick process). Some suggest even using a MPEG1 header on a SVCD! Apparently some DVD players figure it all out.

    Also, be sure to turn OFF SVCD compliancy so that it will burn as non-standard.

    My APEX 3201 was able to play back the 48kHz audio after I did this "repair"

  5. My Pioneer 353 plays SVCDs using 48KHz audio with no problems, thankfully. Since most Divx files I've converted use 48KHz, I just leave it at that when encoding to MPEG2 with TMPGEnc.

    I find it really strange that some DVD players won't play 48KHz audio on VCD/SVCD since DVDs use that sampling. If they can handle it for DVDs, why not everything else? I guess some write their firmware more strict than others.
