This is driving me totaly nutts and i meen nutts!!!!! plzzzzzzzzzzzz help me,

In the past i used a software called dvdx it allows me 2 convert dvd 2 svcd and most in portantly narow the fram rate of a movie and the sound qaulity so i can get a full svcd movie on 2 disks. (lower the mega bights)

but that software only allows me 2 narrow the fram rate and sound qaulity from dvd (ifo file) is there software that will allow me 2 do the same but from svcd????? i no you can cut a movie using tmpg but i dont seem able to narrow the fram rates using it maybe its just me or maybe tmpg doesnt do that.

Plzzzzzz can you tell me wot i need 2 do step by step would help me out big time got all these fucken svcd movies but dont want to end up using 3 disks 4 1 movie.

4 any 1 who helps me out i cant thank you anuf you have saved years of my life due to stress lol

i guess quality is not your first priority - so you may as well just convert your svcd to vcd ..

load the svcd into tmpgenc and select vcd template and hit go ...

you will end up with 2 or 3 small mpeg files (1 from each of the origanl svcd disks) -- burn them to a vcd with nero or i would suggest using vcdimager

qaulity is my prefrence, but you can hardly tell the difrence by narrowing the fram rate as you can choose full screen on my tv and dvd player and i only cut the sound slightly you cant even tell the difrence just dont see the sence in having 2 disks with say 40 min on then have to put 5 mins on 1 cd maze well narrow it down and make 2

It's early here so I guess I'll have a little spam with my eggs.
Come on jamieUK22, was this necessary?

  6. Why don't you try to reduce the bitrate instead of the framerate.

You can get more on one disc and keep good quality by following some simple rulez:
    1. Calculate the bitrate using a bitrate calculator.
    2. When you resize to SVCD - make sure that the image is not too sharp. You need very high bitrates to reproduce sharp images. It's better to have them slightly blurred. VirtualDub has some nice resizing options.
    3. Adjust the bitrate. If you encode with CCE you can use 4pass variable bitrate.

Any of the mods out there? I just found a 5th post on this topic from jamieUK22. I thought Baldrick was going to implement something to report such posts. If I missed it someone point it out to me.
