  1. i asked this a few days ago, sorry if it sounds dumb and that is why no one answered me, but when i have not done this before, a little help would have been kind!
    oh well, no one knew!

i used tmpgenc to change the avi. to mpg then i read the instructions for Nero to make a vcd to play in the dvd player. and after the second try, i still only had audio, no video.
first should the 'enable menu' be checked?
second should the 'store source pictures in' be checked
third does it take a lot longer to go from avi. to vcd in Nero? or is it better to change it first in TMPGEnc.?
and i thought this would be a piece of cake!

I’m assuming your MPEG fileplays fine b4 you burn. If that is the case try this:

Download DVD Movie Factory Trial from Ulead and burn with that. It’s very simple and does a better job at Menu creation (IMHO).

You can download a trial copy of DVD Movie Factory from
    http://www.ulead.com/dmf/runme.htm
    It’s about $45.00

    Hope this Helps!

  3. bring the avi into tmpenc and encode watch it in the preview screen to be sure you have the video playing if not goto option environmental setting/ vfapi plugin and right click the direct show and make it a plus 4 and try now then burn with nero. nero will encode but slow and poor
