spruce up makes no sense....

i downloaded spruce up was able to do 2 exports before the trial ran out...on the second export (basically the second try of useing it) i managed to figure out how to work it then they slap the error up there saying it limited to 2 exports...whats the point of makeing a product, then not selling it and limiting what is available to the public...they should at least remove the trial from it or supply a patch for it if its not going to be for sale.......

Since Apple bought Spruce and discontinued their products (pending new versions, proably mac-only), they still own the rights - therefore no patch. I'm not sure where the trial is, but there's a good chance it's because Spruce forgot to remove the file or because someone else is hosting without permission. The trial existed to promote the product when they were selling it; they have no obligation to provide you with their product just because you found the trial.

Personally, I think they're kindof dumb to discontinue sales of a product that was already developed and that a lot of people liked. Maybe it was logistics or legal issues.

well apple bought the company then stopped making spruceup, yes that sux indeed but i for one am at least glad to have the trial, it stinx but i just redownload after my 2 exports if you dont like it buy something that does the same, like ulead or dvdit. i try not to complain when im getting something free yes it stinx but well worth what we are paying no?

Maybe Apple bought Spruce because the Spruce products worked too good on the PC and they would rather you bought a mac.

I use SpruceUp to author DVD's and I think it's very good program. It will author ac3 and mpeg audio which most current authorware won't. It's very simple to use and has an excellent help file.

but how do you get past the 2 export trial period...thats what beefs me...i cant buy it but i want to use it cause its useable...if its hacked, is it legal or is it a project that came with other projects and is now no ones cause no one wants it by itself...and speaking of dead projects...i need to venture to the tmpge site...i havnt seen anything new from them in a long time.....unless i passed it one day..........
