  1. I am getting no sound on my SVCD. I am using TMPGENC to encode and AVI file to MPEG file.
I followed the newbie directions to the letter - still no sound.
I am burning to SVCD using Nero.
While using the source file on TMPGENC it asks for the video file and audio file. When I click on the AVI video file, the audio file comes up as AVI file.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Extract the audio using Virtualdub.

Then,as instructd in this link, use the resulting WAV as the audio source in TMPGE.
Unless you change the audio source manually,it will default by loading the audio from the original AVI.
