    Does anyone know if there's a 'Dazzle' type product for capturing that uses a Firewire port instead of USB 1.1?

    USB is just too slow for quality captures....

    For a couple of $100 more you could get Canon ZR40 DV camcorder
    and use the DV passthrough feature as "capture device"

    Dazzle just came out with the DVD150 USB 2.0 capture device for $200.
