  1. I'm trying to rip Not Another Teen Movie. When I try to rip it with SmartRipper, every time it gets to 16% it says it can't read it and to unlock the drive. I have it unlocked and tried playing it for a few minutes and pausing it before I opened SmartRipper but it still won't work. Any suggestions?

  2. I did rip that movie a few months ago and had no problems.

    I think I used Clad-XP or Smartripper.

    See a 30sec clip here:

Right click, save target as (this clip is only at half VCD bitrate)

But I have now moved on the DVD decrypter, so give that a shot.

It also may be changing keys more often than the value you have checked in SR. Also, dirty disks will also act like this.

  4. The only time I experienced this was with The Time Machine. Turned out if I viewed the video with DVD2AVI , the point at whick SR froze had flawed frames. Also, standalone DVD player reached this point and went back to beginning. Have you checked out the integrity of the disc ?

  6. most likely scratched, dirt, dust, etc...

i ripped this awhile ago w/ smartripper only checking key once, so the key doesn't change in the middle...

also, when playing the movie right before you rip it, try skipping towards the end of the movie and playing that for a couple of secs before pausing...

  7. I tried it with DVD decrypter and the same thing happened. I found a lot of little scratches on the disc. I heard theres things around the house that can be used to fix them, does anyone know what works?
