  1. I've been having problems converting AVI\DiVX files to MPEG1 that have been encoded with the AC3 DVM audio codec.

Does anyone have any advice? I've tried extracting the audio track with VirtualDUB and have also done it with AVI Mux 0.4. Both programs will extract a 48KHz WAV file, although it's rather small in size but will play back and the audio is fine. However TMPGEnc won't read the audio track. I have managed to get AVI Mux to extract a more standard WAV file but the audio is choppy, but TMPGEnc will read and therefore mux it. I also can't convert the working 48KHz audio streams that I have ripped to anything else.

I should probably add that I've played the files in question back fine, both with audio. I've installed god knows how many video and audio codecs, and given that the files playback I suspect it's not a codec related problem.

Rather oddly I have encoded files that claim to be encoded with the AC3 codec to MPEG1 fine.

    Any ideas would be appreciated...
