My Pioneer A-04 DVD burner has always worked perfectly & burns DVD's at 2X.
All of a sudden, it has started taking forever to burn DVD discs. The disc's work fine, but it is taking something like six hours longer than it ever did before.
I remember a while back getting some kind of error(XP Pro)relating to the CD-ROM drivers & stating that the CD-ROMS might not work correctly, but when I restarted the computer all the drives where working so I forgot about it.
Last night, I recorded a DVD movie & while the movie works fine, the burn took all night. I ran sfc & it didn't change the problem. Does anyone know what could be wrong here?? The only change I have made to the computer recently was to install all my hardware in a new aluminum case. .
The system is dual booting Win98SE & XP Pro & has three scsi & two ide hard drives & three CD-ROMs. Win98 is only for gaming, XP Pro for everything else.
