Hmmmm...my uncle bought this drive yesterday as well from COMP USA for $350. So far i don't know how it performs because it's going into his new system that he's in the process of building. All i know is it looks pretty cool. LoLz
I already have a Pioneer 104, but i was thinking about buying this Sony drive and selling my 104.
Then i thought again....and im gonna take a wait and see approach. I think what Sony has done is pretty smart on their part. They're tired of getting their asses whooped in sales to the -R. Now we'll see every company coming out with both format drives.
Either way, there's always next year...With even better technology.

  6. In my rush and excitement to get this drive i completely forgot to buy some different types of media.. so all i have to work with is a CD+RW that came with it. DAMN IT!!! And i have to update Nero to be able to see the drive.

I Just checked their site and according to their list there is no support for it yet.. but i'm sure i'll be there soon. Other than that for now, I can't get MyDVD to be able to see my back-up/shrunk copy of Royal Tenanbaums>sp? I guess i'll have to check the help out. DAMN DAMN DAMN i WANNA BURN SOMETHING! I have that backup just sitting there so whenever i figure out or find out from this site how to use myDVD(or whatever it's called) I'll post here right away.
