a CDR is divided into sectors. A CDR burned as a "Mode 1" CD uses 2048 bytes from each sector for data, and the remaining bytes for data correction. A CDR burned as a "Mode 2" CD uses all the bytes from each sector for data and none for error correction. A 650MB/74 min. CD can contain 650 MB of data if recorded as "Mode 1", but can contain 740 MB if recorded as "Mode 2". VCDs are "Mode 2" CDs.
If your not making changes to a VCD, and you just want to make a copy of an existing one, whatever burning software you have should have a "Copy CD" option. Just use that if all you want to do is make a copy of an existing VCD. If, however, you want to make changes, then you'll have to rip it to get the MPEGs out of it, then use an application like VCDEasy.
Hope this helps,

VCD = 10mb/min = 80mins or 800mb on a 700mb disk

That's a real possibility that your disk might be full. I don't know what software you're using to burn though. Maybe others on this forum that are using the same software as you can give you a more definite answer.

That message would not come up in most burning software because it checks for available space before you try to burn.
In your original question you say "copy" not "burn". Are you trying to backup an existing vcd from disk to disk?
If so how are you trying to do it.
In either case specify the software you are using and what options you are choosing.There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.
