    I’ve been also trying to create CVD’s. I have an AIW 128 Pro. Using MMC7.7 Settings are:
    352x480
    2.3 vbr bitrate
    Edit Commercials with TMPG (cut/merge 2pass vbr) (no Encoding)
    Burn with Nero and/or VCDeasy
    Play them on a Pioneer444 dvd player
    When there are close up shot it seems to play fine but when the picture is scan outward (distance shots) I almost seems like it starts playing in slow motion??? Any help on this one…….

    Sounds like your bitrate is peaking too high.
