what dvd writer?

hi all,

i'm editing in premiere 6.5 and exporting projects as MPEG2 video clips so i can burn them to a blank dvd-r and watch them on my Pioneer DV 717 dvd player. Can anyone recommend the best dvd writer and software to do this. maybe some software like nero but with dvd burning capabilities. i find nero easy to use to make vcd's so a program like that would be cool, so in short, what writer and software?

There are two DVD writers I would look at... (both around $300.00 range)

1. The Sony DRU-500a
It does -R, -RW, and +R and +RW DVD's!

2. The HP 200i
It does +R and +RW DVD's.


As far as DVD authoring software, I would look at Ulead's DVD MovieFactory or DVD Workshop if you really want to get fancy.
