  1. the original file is in DivX format and I tried to encode it with tmpgenc after separating the audio from the video. Still I found out that the vcd's audio started to drift after 20 mns of play. Any pointer on how to fix this ?

open avi in virtual dub. go to audio. check full processing mode. then in audio go to conversion check 44.1, stereo, 16 bit, hi quality. then go to video. check direct stream copy. then go to file and save either the whole avi, or just the wav. encode with tmpeg. if you dont want to save the new avi then frameserve it into tmpeg

  3. If virtauldub doesnt work like for me it never did with this audio problems then use nandub same but it allows VBR audio and you do not get sync issues.

  6. so far the result is an avi file with the sound way off. I'm going on a gut feeling encoding in tmpgenc with "do not frame rate conversion" checked.

8 more hours and I'll be able to see the result :/
