    can i burn vcd onto dvd-r or dvd-rw and get more video on a disc rather than burning on a cdr or is svcd and vcd stuff only made for the cdr world?

    You can use VCD standard mpeg-1 video on DVD but the audio should be resampled to 48khz. You will have to author as DVD-video too.

    hmm ill have to read up on how to do this. I dont have a clue. I have created vcds, and i have created dvds but i have never created a vcd onto a 4.7 dvd. The reason i want to do this is to create a disc with more on it that dvd video or a 700mb cdr.

    did you read that????????????

    vcd and svcd are for cd only. you can not burn as vcd or svcd on a dvdr/w.
