  1. Please HELP!!! I recently purchases a Lite on 40X12X48 CD burner, Model 40125s, and using Nero 5.5.9. I bought the burner for the ability to burn 90/99 min CDR's but have not been able to yet. I have set the prefference correctly(I think) to be able to overburn. I'm tring to burn a Dvix Movie that is 738 Meg and I keep getting an error message that the media doesn't have enough room. Can anyone help me?????

Start NERO up, goto FILE/PREFERENCES, look in the General window that will popup for the red marker, in that change the min so that it says 85.

Also in the same window, UNCHECK the "CHECK FOR CORRECT DISC FORMAT BEFORE BURNING".

Now click on the EXPERTS FEATURES TAB, in there CHECK Enable Overburn and in the Maximum CD Length window put the time to look like this.....> 99 : 59 : 00, then just click OK and shutdown Nero.

Nero should now Burn onto 99mins CDR's without any hassle.

Well it did for me i was using a Liteon 24x speed CR-RW.

Even try a later version of Nero to see if that works.

    Hope That Helps

  5. Perhaps I'm asking the obvious, but did you actually BUY 90/99 min CDs?

I'm under the impression that (at least 90 min) CD-Rs with more than 80 min capacity still report 80 min, so to get Nero (or any other burner app) to start writing a 738 MB file to a CD-R, there's no need for a 90/99 min CD-R. When setup properly, Nero will completely ignore the capacity of the CD-R, and try even on a 74 min CD-R. Of course this will not work in the end, but to me, the problem seems to be more how to get Nero to even try...
    Again:
    File -> Preferences ->
    • Genaral tab: Uncheck "Check for correct CD format..." Set red & yellow marker at 99:00:00
Expert Features tab: Check "Enable overburn..." Set Maximum CD length to 99:00:00

It that wont work - try some other burning app!

  8. I just finished changing all the perferences as stated above and nero still says not enough space to burn this compilation onto this medium. please insert another medium that provides enough space. I have tried this with a 80 min Cd and the 90/99 min Cds.

  9. I just finish upgrading Nero to 5.5.9.14 and still unable to overburn....What am I doing wrong...After I choose the File I'm going to burn, I click on the icon on the tool bar for burning, I choose my speed to burn at, (Does this speed matter for overburning as long as the media can burn at the speed I choose?), click "burn", than I get the same error message that there is not enough space on the medium. I have tried with 80 min and 90/99 min CDR's.

I know that Nero says there is not enough space for burning, but does it eject the CDR your trying to burn onto ?.

I can't see what the problem is, i just checked the Liteon website and both of the 40xspeed burners support burning onto 90/99 mintue CDR's.

What make are the CDR's you bought on Ebay ???

I'm just suspecting that it might be the CDR's like vitualis said.

Also make sure that the Write Method is set to DISC-AT-ONCE in the WRITE CD window, speed does not matter.

One other thing, i would convert the DIVX using TMPEGnc or another encoder first even if you have to spilt onto 2 80 CDR's.

Getting Nero to encode for you will result in a converted Mpeg that will look, well to put it frankly, SHIT.
