I believe this is possible, but can't find a relevant post after a day of searching...so I think I'm blind...
Anyway, here are the details.
I have the latest LOTR:TTT trailer in .mov format, and I want to convert it to either VCD/SVCD using TMPEnc Plus. I have succeeded thus far in creating a SVCD, but it is formatted for a normal TV (i.e., the video is in the correct apect ratio 2:35:1, but I have black bars on top/bottom, and gray bars from the TV on left/right.
I want to fill as much of the screen as possible, but can't seem to figure out what I need to change in TMPEnc to do it. I basically have accepted all the defaults for the SVCD NTSC - Film template.
Also, I burn with NERO 5.5.+, so if I have to change anything there so that it will burn correctly, I would greatly appreciate info on that too.
Thank you

I believe what you are looking for is...
Settings/video/ aspect ratio 16:9
Settings/advanced/video arrange method = no margins -
This is easy to do. You can keep all your settings the same except in the "video" tab, under "Aspect Ratio" select "16:9 display". If it's greyed out you have to unlock the setting first by putting the mouse over "Aspect Ratio" then righ click and choose "unlock".
That'll make your output formatted for 16:9 display so remember you will have to put your TV in "Full Mode" instead of "4:3" mode when you watch it.
