Hi Chips34
I seem to have the same problem. My Mini DV JVC DV-GRM70 does not show/or can be commanded/identified under Windows XP Firewire.
It works perfectlly with a DV500 Pinnacle board under Premiere.
But I am trying to have it work under U-Lead applications thru a out-of-the-shelf OHCI compliant firewire PCI Board. Cant do so far.
Did you have any luck ? Please let me know.

=================================
I am desperately seeking HELP on the following issue:
I cannot have my JVC GR DVM70 Mini DV Camcorder recognized as a device in a Firewire OHCI Compliant port.
Windows XP asks for the device driver for the video device but I cannot find it anywhere.
WHERE CAN I FIND THE JVC GRM 70 DRIVER FOR WINDOWS XP FIREWIRE CONNECTION?
DOES IT EXIST?
IS THERE A GENERAL DRIVER I CAN TRY?
Any suggestions are extremely welcome to

OS: Windows XP full version, fully patched.
