I have a video taken with a SONY analog HI 8 video

    Want to do the following
    Capture
    Process
    Render to SVCD
Burn and COPY SVCD to VHS

Okay, I have AIW 128 pro and have done this stuff
I use Sonic Foundry Video Factory 2.0C
Now it seems I am trying to CAPTURE higher than normal 720 by 480 AVI. I have the MPEG2 Plug in and render.

Heres the issues (there are several)
1)When I went to burn with NERO , it said it was NON STANDARD even though I selected NTSC SVCD when I rendered
    2) The picture is jerky or like someone gave me drugs, blurry on movemnet

Now I did this same process but had used AVI at 352 x 240 and it works great. I notice the properties on the two AVI's (prior video and this) the bitirate is the same and it say Micorsoft YUV, the only difference is the SIZE> Is this the issue causing the DRUGGED feeling on picture movement

The other difference I notice is if I play the individual AVI's , on the 352 by 240, they are great. On the 720 by 480, they look like a series of LINES.

HELP..I thought I would finish this by the weekend for the customer !!!

  2. try 480*480 for SVCD and deinterlace when encoding it.

check for noise filtering when encoding it, it can add motion blur.

shouldnt take too long to do a quick sample.

Thanks ! BUt I don't have that option with the Video factory ! TMPG yes.
But even when I used TMPG, same issue. It must be the 720 by 480 conversion

I tried some...I also just retested at 352X240, and they look fine. I gues the higher resolution is too much ? Hmmmmm
