I bought the WinTV PVR 250 this weekend, this is what I was hoping to do:
I wanted to use my PC to pause live action, record to cd-r, etc. But i wanted the output to go to my tv not my monitor. In other words I wanted to use my PC as a PC and my TV as a TV!
The card does not have a TV-OUT port, only inputs. Does everyone really watch TV on their PCs or is there an easy way to have the best of both worlds? I would like to surf, program, etc on my PC while watching the game on my TV with the ability to pause live action, etc, kind of like Tivo.
FYI: I do not have a TV-OUT on my video card, and I was hoping for a solution that means the purchase of only one card if possible. Oh, I took the PVR 250 back until I know what I should do.
Thanks in advance for any help!

A guide on how to add composite out on a tv card if you know how to solder.
oh and look he did it on a wintv card.
It does what you are hoping to accomplish but in a rather difficult way.
Bottom line IMHE, very few TV cards have quality TV OUT functions, for that you are going to have to turn to Video cards that contain VIVO connections; from the likes of ATI.....etc -
Wait for PVR-350 to come out. It will have TV out and will be out soon. More expensive ofc.
There might be solution with dual video cards: one outputing to monitor, another to TV, but will it work, I don't quarantee.
