If your capture card has either Composite input, or S-Video inputs, then yes, you can capture to it. It is hooked up to your capture card, just like a TV would be hooked up.

I'm not sure how much clearer I can get. You will need to understand the basic concepts of the connectors required. Other than that, the setup is pretty much exactly the same as copying from broadcast TV, minus the play button...

Look to the left and read the NEWBIE and CAPTURE guides. They will help you to understand what you need and how to capture from your tape.

  8. If Your card has yellow (do You know, what "yellow" means?) RCA (once again, do You know?) input, then You have composite. If You have Quite PS/2 like input with 4 contacts, You have S-Vid. According to Hauppauge, Your card has composite.

  10. Seriously, go to the Capture link on the left under the "How To" heading and read some of the links there. Actually, based on your frequent bumps you should start on the Newbie how-to.

It's not that nobody want to help, it just that it is assumed that the user has read the material on this site prior to posting.

  11. Most of these guides only discuss the video capture. What about the audio? That is a separate issue, isn't it?

You should also refer to your cards web site. They probably have exactly the instruction you need to capture from common sources. Have you looked the the guides and manuals for the card. They should have everything you've been asking for here. Not to put too fine a point on it, but a little effort can go a long way.
