H E L P !!!!!!!!!!! Please?

I am trying to convert a DVD to MPEG, I am using SMART RIPPER for the rip, and DVD2AVI for the setup for TEMPENC.
My question is HOW DO I GET LETTERBOX EFFECT 352x288 WITH TEMPENC. I HAVE HAD SUCCESS WITH FLASKING FIRST 640x480 TO A AVI USING DIVX 5.02. BUT DVD2AVI DOES A CLEARER PICTURE BUT NOT IN ASPECT RATIO 4:3 or 16:9.

you dont select 4:3 or 16:9 in dvd2avi you do it in tmpgenc under advanced tab select 16:9(ntsc) or (pal) whatever you movie is.

Sorry to disturb u with a newbie q , But i dont get it right with "dvd2svcd" I tryed to ripp and covert a dvd to svcd(who has 5 chapters ) everything gets very fast like 30 min and in the savefolder i have the five chapters (vob) but they are around 1 gig size EACH ??? What have i do wrong ( I´ve followed a guide to set everything like it should be)

you got the vob files. you can use dvd2avi and get you wav file and your d2v file. use those two files in tmpgenc to convert them to your mpeg file.
