Just wondered if any of you guys had heard of this "great" new hardware/software development by microsoft. Basically what it does (and this is the threat to many of us) it looks for licensed software, and deletes all of the rest. This includes what are termed as "viral" programs which are not "Microsoft Approved" such programs which fall under the "viral" category is all versions of Linux, Lindows etc etc.
But this is the part that annoyed me almost as much as the software issue. This grest new system (which incidentally, Intel AND Amd will be manufacturing chips for) goes one step further than the "unsigned drivers" warning in XP. It wont let you install drivers which, again, are not Microsft approved.
So this is the most blatent attempt at total system control i have ever seen! What do you guys think of this?

call your regulators blah. the only thing that will change there minds is to not buy it. live with the technology that you have.
buy more old stuff or wait for someone to circumvent the security devices.
